Massage therapy is a well known and popular form of complementary therapy that supports health and wellbeing by treating your muscle tissue. Through sustained physical pressure and stretching, trained therapists,in consultation with you, can identify and address a variety of physical issues with your body.

Massage can work in partnership with other types of treatment such a Osteopathy to provide holistic solutions to health and wellbeing challenges.

Our qualified and experienced therapists may use a combination of techniques to support your treatment. Along with Remedial Massage, they may use a variety of other techniques such as Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Sports, Swedish or one of the many others to individually tailor an approach to cater to the client’s specific requirements.

Massage therapy can be effective against a number of health issue which include but are not limited to:

  • Headaches or Migraines
  • Neck/Shoulder Pain

  • Back Pain

  • Sports Injury Management

  • Stress Management

  • Psychological Distress, including Anxiety or Depression

  • Sports Injury Management

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Chronic/Acute Injury or Pain Conditions

How can massage help

Massage therapy can reduce cortisol levels (a stress inducing hormone) while increasing other hormones (including dopamine and serotonin) which have a positive effect on wellbeing. It can also help by

  • stimulating blood supply

  • increasing joint mobility

  • increasing tissue elasticity

  • releasing tension

  • reducing or eliminating pain

  • supporting the repair of damaged tissue

  • reducing stress

All of our massage therapists also support our Osteopaths as Osteopathic Assistants, providing a short pre-treatment massage prior to the osteopathic treatments.

All of our therapists formally trained and holding qualifications in one or more forms of Massage. They are members of Massage & Myotherapy Australia, a brand of Australian Association of Massage Therapists Limited (AAMT). Formed in 2003 as the leading not-for-profit associating body for Massage, Remedial Massage and Myotherapy, the association is committed to upholding, promoting and ensuring the highest quality of standards in the field of Massage, Remedial Massage and Myotherapy.
